Southern Utah - Bulletin Board

Welcome to Southern Utah!

Do you live in Cedar City, St.George, or even in places like Hurricane, Washington, or Kanab? Well, we've got news for you:
MESJ is anticipating starting a chapter in Southern Utah!

Breathtaking natural beauty and historical names like Zion, New Harmony, and Orderville, are an invitation to spirituality and a longing for equality and social justice, connecting us with our roots.

MESJ has previously reported on social issues in the area (see below) and invites you to contact us if you would be interested in becoming an active player in dealing with issues of equality and social justice, but also a supporter for peace and a sustainable environment.

Dedicated to Holiness
LDS temples dot the globe in ever greater numbers, and MESJ reflects on their significance in regard to what these holy edifices have been dedicated for in relation to an equitable, just, peaceful and sustainable society.
We're all Downwinders Now
Downwinders is a research and educational foundation started by residents living in the prevailing wind pattern surrounding the Nevada Test Site, effecting the entire region, but in particular those in the St. George area.
No nuclear missiles, no nuclear waste
MESJ in June 2006, reported how we as Latter-day Saints promote the values of the nuclear family, not the Mormon heartland as a dumping ground for nuclear missiles and radioactive waste.
Proclamation on the Economy - 1875
The Latter-day Saints should understand that it is our duty to sustain cooperation and to do all in our power to make it a success. Does not all our history impress upon us the great truth that union is strength?
